May 18th 2008
This bike was stolen the night of May 18 from Lead and Columbia SE area of Albuquerque. It was a 1985ish Peugeot “Course”. I had built it as a fixed gear and hand-painted it. The fork in this picture is different from the one that was on there…the new one was a mixture of silver and bare metal. Bike was hand-painted all over; purple, dark blue and light blue. The cranks were blue at the time it was stolen, they are purple in the picture. I had black rubber handle grips and a different front wheel as well.
Parts:
Black Shimano 105 1″ headset
Mavic CXP33 front wheel laced to an Ultegra hub.
Rear wheel was a Weinman rim laced to a black Formula hub.
Both wheels had black Specialized tires.
Silver Shimano SPD clipless pedals
SRAM PC-1 1/8 chain.
20t Surly cog
…there was also a little green rubber dinosaur whose tail was stuck in where a rear brake would have been mounted – whoever stole this is in for some serious bad mojo – I’ve had that dinosaur since I was a kid!
